A VERY good example of a complete description of a process:
From PBE Magazines Feeder Desktop Reference 2004
"Kaolin clay is mined form pits as far as 100 miles away and either mixed into slurry on-site and pumped to the plant or moved in solid form to the plant in trucks. Slurry is stored in tanks at the plant, while solid clay is stored in sheds and later moved by front end loaders to a slurry mixer. The slurry is next pumped through several stages of high speed centrifugal classification, known as degritting. Magnets then remove metallic impurities.....The slurry is dewatered to raise its solid level from about 30% to 50%. Pumps then move the slurry toa spray dyer wich dries it to bead form. Various screw, belt and pneumatic conveyors move the dried clay through the rest of the process to change the chemical properties of the clay. At several process stages, feeders add different amounts of various chemicals to the the clay to form a variety of compounds. Finally dried clay compounds are shipped out in railcars or bags to the customers." This article was about the feeders that add the chemicals to the mixtures.
It would be great if your process description was this complete and detailed but we realize that is not always possible. We would appreciate however some description of the overall process, to help support the story line.
